To stage or not to stage
As VJ Shojo, I have several ventures underway in Second Life. I started in Second Life by building a small bar to promote the Podcast Salad Podcast. Soon I started building a Japanese tea house and garden. built a racecar and then Shojo Racing was born and I am now partnered with Exclusive Motorcars a SL car company. Then I built a house boat and a yacht and Shojo Shipworks was born. Through discussion with my friend Robina in SL I was convinced to turn the Podcast Salad Bar and Grill into a Llive music perfomance space that became the Stage at Bermuda.
Anyway to make a long story shorter, After a month of operation, I’m losing money on the venture. It was my original intent to have a manager run the place and keep acts booked and events scheduled for every night. But after a technical breakdown during a show my partner and manager decided she couldn’t deal with the personalities and the time involved with making the club sucessful.
So now I’m stuck with the club and without having the time or effort to make this thing an at least break even proposition. I’d like to keep the venue open But I’m at a loss for profitable ideas. Any comments are welcome.
