Second Life is an absurd hobby. I’m loath to call it a game, it’s far closer to being a second job. Of course, I’m a person with a strong creative work ethic and it bites me in the ass all the time. In addition to managing a formula SL virtual racing team with four drivers, I’m also building a car for the next season of Formula SL. Other projects I have going on in SL include building the Nitro Drive-in in the Motor City Sim and managing three bands for the grand opening last Saturday, DJing two two hour sets of chill out music for my usual Groove Sunday event at the Jazz Link club. So it ends up that I spend all my time in Second Life working on projects and very little time actually having fun. Hopfully soon I’ll cut back a little, and start enjoying it more and spending less hours.
