2026 We Live in the Sky Calendar
The “We live in the Sky” calendar is an annual tradition that features my photos of the sky and weather over our home on the Taos Plateau in Northern New Mexico.
Here, we are truly immersed in the sky. To the east, the Sangre de Christo peaks glow. To the west, the San Juan and Tusas Mountains anchor the horizon. With this vast, unobstructed, 360-degree view, we're treated to one of the most expansive skies in the entire country.
The calendar's title comes from my wife, Annie, who wisely observed, "We Live in the Sky." Though our feet are on the earth, that phrase rings true. We are constantly immersed in and defined by the expansive and dynamic atmosphere above us.
Northern New Mexico's "enchanted skies" have inspired artists and photographers for generations with their unique quality of light. I hope these images will cast their spell on you, too, as you move through your year, wherever your part of the sky may be.
